Design Ideas to Revamp Your Bedroom
Your bedroom is more than just a place to sleep. It can be a place to relax with a book or cup of tea, a venue for you socialize with a loved one, a spot for you watch your favorite show or music, or just a space where you unwind from the stresses of the day. It’s a room that nourishes your soul – your own personal sanctuary. With that said, it is crucial that you pay attention to the way you design and decorate your bedroom to optimize your wants, needs, and feelings.
At Luxury Home Solutions, our design team will work with you every step of the way building or remodeling your home. Whether you’re designing a whole new bedroom or want to remodel your current bedroom, we will work with you to help make your ideas come to life. No idea is too big!
For this article, we wanted to share with you some great and fun bedroom ideas that you may want to consider when building or remodeling this room.
- If you want your room to look bigger or simplistic in style, limit the pieces of furniture in the room. Don’t add unnecessary tables or chairs if you aren’t even using them.
- Like stated above, a bedroom is where you relax and unwind, so you want the colors in your bedroom to be soothing and peaceful. Generally, whites, grays, off-whites, and pale, light colors make for good calming bedroom colors. However, you know best as to what colors calm you, so choose whatever color works for you!
- Add texture to the room for personality and to keep the room from being and feeling too cold. Whether it’s a patterned wall paper, wooden beams, ceiling moldings or printed pillows, find ways to keep the room interesting and welcoming.
- Although it’s warm in Florida year-round, throw rugs in bedrooms add character and can keep your feet warm when the tile floor feels too cold in the morning.
- Invest in a bed bench. They are a great decorative piece to add to a room, while also providing a spot for you to lay out clothing or sit on.
- If you’re looking to save floor or table space, opt for wall sconces to light up your room.
- Add pieces of artwork and/or plants to your bedroom to make it feel “homey.”
- To add storage space in your bedroom without losing floor space, build shelving and cabinets in the wall. These shelves could be decorative in nature and hold books, knick-knacks, boxes, and other items. Or, these shelves can house clothing or shoes and you can hide them behind curtains, so no one even knows there are shelves behind there!
- Wood planks and skylights can add dimension, space, and character to a bedroom.
The design ideas you can have for your bedroom are endless! The ideas we’ve listed are just a few ideas to prompt you during your creative design process for the room.
